Well, this writing is actually not the most interesting thing I want to write yet I'm amazed with how people deal with Social Media. Besides those scandals about bullying that ruining one and some people social life, Social Media might somehow malfunction for some too. Pathetic? yes! it is pathetic seeing how people being influenced with such drama and neglecting the real life they suppose to live with. So, I guess this matter is in between are we not ready for social media? or are we the victim of this attractive applications for sharing and updating things for public. I do not have this answer for people have their rights of their own perspective about social media.
Couple weeks a go I got a social media friend who were keeping uploading things I disagree to see and quite bugging me with timeline this friend shared. So, I decided to unshare this friend from my social media for I do not want my mood, activity, focus, and happiness being distracted by those updates. It is free for this friend to upload everything and my right too to decide whether I want to see those updates or not. This wouldn't make us unfriend in real life, of course. For we are still friend, right?
I treat and perceive social media differently; twitter, facebook, path, instagram, pinterest, or whatsoever. I really can't blame any person for thinking that one of the requirements to be friends with someone is by following them on instagram, sharing on path, or else because people are free to have their own perception of friendship or social media. I have the right to follow things I love to see and to share things only to person that's close to me. So, I'm so chill if people unfollow, unfriend, or unsharing things on social media for I'm free to do so.
For me, social media have its function to assist me exploring ideas, informations, places, news, food, and some other stuff. Some social medias offer me more on news updates, the other give me reference for food and places, and the rest some pictures I like. Different with social media like facebook and path, they are more connected to each other accounts so when I decided to accept or to share, automatically I must see their updates. That's why I'm so picky to those I want to share with.
I write this actually to all who are having social media to be really carefull with their act uploading things for people may perceive differently and we must be ready with it. You can not blame people commenting badly about your post or decided to stop seeing your updates. It's our rights .. It is our risks .. admit it .. accept it… I also write this to a friend who is overreacting just by knowing me unsharing her Path. Well, it's your decision to upload things … and it's my decision to not liking it … so you take your risk .. I take mine… It doesn't mean that we are unfriend each other in real life. I just don't like your postings …. hadeeehhhh!
Hayo ngaku! berapa kali kalian seneb liat postingan temen selfie tapi muka jauh dari oke, gambar makanan yang ga ada menariknya, gambar jorok, meme yang bikin risih, foto berbagai tempat liburan tapi mukanya sendiri yang di close-up, tongsis dan tongbro yang berlebihan, curhat, marah, TAPI KALIAN CUMAN BISA NGEDUMEL DAN NGGA AMBIL TINDAKAN KARENA "ADUH, DIA KAN TEMEN AKU, NANTI KALAU DI UNSHARE … TRUS AKU DIMUSUHI??!!"
What a damn h*ll! good friends stay …. trust me!
